In summer 2021 YieldPlanet started moving customers gradually to a safer way of displaying credit cards called ReservationsZone. The operation is finalized now.

In the new solution users requesting credit card details in the channel manager interface are asked to authorize themselves via the ReservationsZone platform and then card details are displayed in a separate tab. This solution enhances security of accessing credit card data via the Channel Manager since it introduces additional safety measures.

 

Access to ReservationsZone is secured by Oracle platform and only property approved users can display sensitive card data. ReservationsZone verification is performed either via email or by phone/sms or fingerprint.

In the Channel Manager there is a new column called Payment where properties can immediately check whether a credit card is provided in a reservation. It is easier now to see all reservations containing cards.

In today’s release, we make it possible to edit prices manually in CRS. This feature gives reservation staff the option to negotiate prices before confirming the reservation.

You can edit prices when the reservation is in the basket. Each daily rate can be modified.

Please note, this feature is available only for Manager level users. To assign a user to Manager Role, please contact your Key Account Manager.

Last time in Usability Improvements update we promised to release the features marked * by
September 30, 2021. Today, we deliver that plus we have increased the stability of the system by making a number of backend improvements.

Improvements in Price Optimizer

1. Ability to change hotel and competitor colors in Comp Set configuration for all users

  • When you set colors in Comp Set, the same colors will be applied everywhere on the system where competitors are displayed. For example: Price Reports, Price Control & Details page

  • On Price Control, only user hotel’s color is affected

2. Dashboard removed for PO Start users and tabs reordered

  • For Start users, the old Dashboard information is available on Price Control

  • On logging in, Price Control is the default page displayed

3. Occupancy Report table on Dashboard standardized for PRO Users allowing easier reading

Improvements in CRS (Quoting Screen)

1. New checkbox option in Room Types configuration whether to count baby cot in Total Pax calculation

2. Grouping info in Room Types configuration and ability to pin virtual room types to any of the existing group rooms

  • Changing sort order of Rooms Types & Rate Plans configuration bug fixed

  • Now the list of Rate Plans on the price table is displayed based on its sort order in Rate Plans configuration

We are happy to inform you that Revenue Rules in your Channel Manager have been extended with time-based rules.

There are 2 types of rules in Revenue rules that hotels can use from now on:

  • Allotment-Based Rules are designed to increase or decrease price or to close out certain channels when allotment is in a specified range.
  • Time-Based Rules are designed to increase or decrease price for specified booking window or calendar dates.

Time-Based Rules is a new functionality that triggers price change irrespective of the number of available rooms. Rules can be run every day at a specific time or automatically activated after any price change.

What is also special in regards to Time-Based rules is that they can be reversed and rates go back to previously set levels.

    Major advantages of time-based rules:

    • Possibility of automated price actions like applying advance purchase or last-minute discounts within basic rates.
    • Time-based rules can modify any price per hotel or per channel level.
    • Time-based rules and allotment-based rules can be used at the same time – allotment rules will increase or decrease rates when allotment criteria are met while time-based rules will be fired on a certain booking window or date range.
